My kantele projects

Welcome to my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@goldenkantele focusing on relaxing music played with Finnish kanteles. I have used both 5-11 stringed small kanteles as well as a 39 stringed concert kantele for my recordings.

Homechoir & KANTELE (and other instruments)

Homechoir has been my life saver during the pandemic. I have spent several afternoons every week singing with my choral friends from around the world with our amazing conductor, Ben England. We have done several digital recordings and for some of them I have submitted a kantele track. I also tested my digital music skills with recording Vogler’s Hosanna. Ben kindly assisted me in the project by singing the tenor and bass lines.

Gabriel Fauré: Sanctus (from Requiem)

Bach/Gounod: Ave Maria

Eric Wetherell: My Lagan Love

Vogler: Hosanna

Fauré: Cantique de Jean Racine

Trad: I’se the (Birthday) Boy

The Choir of the Earth

I have been a member of the Choir of the Earth since their first project, Händel’s Messiah. I have submitted hundreds of tracks to their projects. It has been wonderful to learn and record multiple parts to the projects. For their second Messiah production I recorded alto and tenor parts for all movements, for Spem in Alium I recorded alto and tenor parts for all eight choirs.

Other virtual productions

I have joined also several other virtual projects, some of them massive as the Virtual Choir 6 of Eric Whitacre with over 17000 participants, some with only two participants.
